Combined automatic hot water boiler VIGAS 12DP A combines two fuel combustion systems in one unit. Unique construction allows burning of wood and pellets in the boiler while after the burning of wood it is possible to use the function of automatic transition to fuel pellets.
When burning lump wood, it uses a gasification method that is more efficient and applies to all VIGAS boilers. The combustion of the pellets occurs by classical burning on a grate made of refractory steel, where the pellets are fed by two screw conveyors and a turnstile feeder.
The boiler is not equipped with automatic de-ashing equipment, but its large combustion chamber allows ash removal every 7 days.

The VIGAS 12 DPA hot water boiler is designed for the combustion of pellets with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of up to 40 mm and dry wood from sawdust to logs up to 370 mm and a maximum diameter of 20 cm. Sawdust, shavings, chips and cuttings must be burned together with logs. The boiler insulation is made of NOBASIL 20 and 40 mm insulation material. The flue gas is discharged through a 160 mm diameter steel socket. The pellet container is made of 1.5 mm thick sheet and has a volume of 225 l. The boiler includes a new front gear, electric ignition spiral, dosing turnstile, chimney temperature sensor and ultrasonic pellet level sensor.
The interior of the boiler consists of a filling chamber which serves as a wood and wood waste container, where the fuel is dried and fused. The wood gas formed then passes through the refractory nozzle into the combustion chamber where it is burned with the aid of secondary air.
When burning pellets, they are dosed accurately from the reservoir directly to the boiler combustion chamber, where they are burned with the aid of a controlled amount of air. The flue gas is cooled intensively in a two-row tube exchanger. Unburned waste is sweeping from the combustion chamber. For roasting, the boiler is equipped with a curved flap controlled by a pull rod in the front part of the boiler.
Only standard wood pellets with a diameter of 6mm with min. calorific value of 18 MJ / kg. Combustion of pellets made from another material e.g. straw, hay and the like, or any other size is prohibited.
The boilers are equipped with thermal STB fuse, which ensures that the blower fan is disconnected when the boiler overheats above 100 ° C and cooling safety exchanger against boiler overheating according to STN EN 303/5: 2012. The manufacturer recommends to purchase a Honeywell TS 131 3/4 “drain valve to the refrigeration safety exchanger.
Against the re-ignition of pellets in the tank, the boiler is equipped with a safety chamber feeder (turnstile) driven by a chain drive. In case of el. the energy or failure of the dispensing device is always ensured by the air gap between the pellet reservoir and the combustion chamber which prevents the pellets from igniting in the reservoir.
Against the damage of the gearbox motor, if the screw or turnstile is blocked, the boiler is equipped with a safety thermometer which senses the engine temperature and ensures that the engine is switched off when heated to 80 ° C.
